My name is Catherine Peters, and I am running for Kyrene School District Governing-Board for the 2026 election. 

 

I am a wife, former Kyrene Student, and Current Kyrene parent dedicated to protecting public education. When Kyrene, like many other districts around the state, announced the closure of schools, I stood with other Kyrene parents in our fight to keep more schools open. Together, we provided data to aid in the board's current decison to save two out of eight proposed schools slated for closure.

 

My priorities for Kyrene moving forward is to increase our enrollment by working closely with our Marketing Department to reach more families, insure there is complete transparency and understanding of our district spending and finances and expand opportunities to all Kyrene Kids no matter their social status.  

 

Kyrene School District needs parent representation. What’s better than a Kyrene Mom For Kyrene Board.
